Victor Wembanyama, the leader of Spurs, is set to return to his national team for the first time in nearly two years. The NBA star emphasized how meaningful and important it is for him to represent his country.
“Wearing the blue jersey carries greater weight because it’s worn for much shorter periods. The intensity of the Olympic Games lasts for weeks, so everything depends on what’s happening at the moment. In an international career, there are very few matches, so each one truly matters.
I can’t wait for the game in Bercy on August 27 against Slovenia and the Sunday match in Orléans against Serbia to see how the crowd has changed,” said the San Antonio center.
