However, there is no solid foundation behind this claim. It is based on the assumption that Kabayel currently lacks a mandatory challenger, and that Klitschko has not ruled out a return to the ring some time ago. Meanwhile, Kabayel has previously dismissed the possibility of fighting the Ukrainian veteran, preferring to pursue more high-profile opponents.
Nonetheless, if this matchup materializes, Klitschko would make history in the heavyweight division. At 50 years old, he would become the oldest world champion ever, surpassing George Foreman, who won the title at age 46.
