Los Angeles Lakers defender Luka Dončić has responded to the departure of four-time NBA champion LeBron James from the California team. The Slovenian basketball star shared a photo on social media featuring himself alongside James.
“It was an honor for me to play with you and learn from you,” Dončić wrote.
Dončić joined the Lakers following a trade from the Dallas Mavericks in February 2025. LeBron left Los Angeles after eight seasons with the club, during which he won one championship title. According to insiders, the most likely destination for the 41-year-old star to continue his career is the Golden State Warriors.
