According to a source close to the Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli, the previously announced signing of Artem Bondarenko from Shakhtar has been postponed. The midfielder was expected to strengthen Marino Pusic’s squad by signing a three-year contract.
However, this transfer has encountered unexpected resistance from the club’s supporters. Influential figures within the club have also expressed opposition to the move.
As a result, the deal has been put on hold. A final decision will be made at a later date.
Meanwhile, Al Ahli announced today the signing of another new player—Jean-Claude Girumugisha from Al Hilal.
