Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount will not be ready for the start of the Premier League season as he remains sidelined with injury.

Mount was substituted in the 20th minute during the match against Paris Saint-Germain. Since then, he has missed the last two preseason games against Leeds United and AC Milan. He has yet to return to training.

Given that this is not the first time Mount has faced fitness issues, Manchester United have begun exploring the transfer market to sign an additional central midfielder. The club feels they can no longer rely solely on Mount’s availability.
