Turkey’s national team captain Arda Güler has addressed fans following the team’s elimination from the 2026 World Cup.
“We apologize to the entire Turkish nation,” Güler stated.
He vowed to do everything in his power throughout his international career to help the country move past this disappointing tournament.
“We represent very big clubs, and we should have shown that on the pitch,” he added.
It is worth recalling that Turkey lost both of their opening matches without scoring a goal, despite registering a total of 62 shots on target.
