Arsenal Dominate Girona 4-1 in Preseason Opener Featuring Ukrainian Players
Arsenal London kicked off their preseason preparations with a commanding 4-1 victory away at Spanish side Girona. The standout performer was 16-year-old Max Douman, who contributed both a goal and an assist for Kai Havertz. New signing Christos Tzolis and Gabriel Jesus also found the net to complete the scoring against the Catalan hosts.
Girona’s sole goal came from Arnau Martinez, who scored following a corner kick, with Ukrainian forward Vladyslav Vanat playing an active role in the buildup. Alongside Vanat, his compatriot Oleksandr Pishchur also featured during the match. Ukrainian goalkeeper Vladyslav Krapivtsov was brought on in the 61st minute and kept a clean sheet for his time on the pitch. However, Viktor Tsygankov was not included in Girona’s squad for this game.
