Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has fully agreed on a new contract with the London club, which he led to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season.

According to journalist Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport, the Spanish manager has reached a fundamental agreement with the club’s leadership on the terms of the new deal.

It is reported that Arteta has agreed to sign a contract extending until the end of June 2029. His salary will double from £5 million to £10 million, with an additional £5 million in bonuses included.

Recall that Mikel Arteta took charge of Arsenal in December 2019 and has since secured five domestic trophies, the most significant being the Premier League championship.
