England defender John Stones has reassured Inter Milan fans that the muscle injury he sustained in the match against Udinese is minor. He expects to be back in action following the upcoming international break.

“I picked up a slight injury in the last game, but I am already working on returning to full fitness after the international break!” Stones wrote on Instagram.

This is excellent news for Inter head coach Christian Kiv. The Englishman was one of the club’s key summer signings, brought in to add experience and leadership to their defensive line. With the Serie A champions facing a demanding schedule once the club season resumes, Stones’ quick recovery will be vital.
