Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Bukayo Saka‘s injury ahead of the FA Community Shield clash against Manchester City.
The Community Shield match is set to kick off on Sunday at 17:00 UTC.
Arteta confirmed that the star duo of Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice have both returned to full fitness.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Arteta expressed optimism about the condition of his key players: “They are fit, they trained with us today, they will train tomorrow, and if they are in the form we expect, they will be involved in the game.”
He also praised the team’s professional attitude following a demanding summer, noting that “most of them returned earlier than expected, performed very well in all the tests, and all seem to be in excellent shape.”
