Barcelona, struggling to persuade Atletico Madrid to sell Julian Alvarez, is exploring alternative options to replace him.
According to Diario Sport, the Catalan club has set their sights on Georgian striker Jorge Mikautadze from Villarreal.
However, Villarreal is reluctant to part ways with the 25-year-old forward easily and will not entertain offers below €60 million. This asking price is exactly double the €30 million valuation assigned to Jorge by Transfermarkt.
The striker’s current contract runs until the summer of 2031. Last season, he featured in 44 matches for Villarreal, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists.
