Opta Predicts Barcelona as Favorite to Win 2026/27 La Liga Title

Ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 La Liga season, the Opta supercomputer has released its forecast for the championship winner.

According to the analysis, Barcelona is the clear favorite to claim the title, with a 45.6% probability. Real Madrid follows as the second most likely champion at 31%, while Atletico Madrid ranks third with an 8.6% chance.

Rounding out the top five contenders are Villarreal with a 3.3% chance and Real Betis at 2.1%.

When it comes to relegation candidates, newly promoted Deportivo is seen as the most probable to drop back down, with a 29.2% likelihood.

They are joined in the relegation zone by Elche at 28.4% and Sevilla at 27.7%.
