Following Spain’s impressive 4-1 victory over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League, head coach Luis de la Fuente singled out the impact of “the Yamal factor.”
“Lamin wants to show the world what kind of player he is. We are very pleased with him. He carries himself with great humility, which makes him even greater. Today, we once again enjoyed his magic, but he channels that magic to serve the team. That says a lot about the player. In the future, he will be even more valued for his collective play. We are very fortunate to have him,” the coach remarked during the post-match press conference.
Regarding the team as a whole, he added:
