Esteban Ocon, the French Formula 1 driver, has officially announced that he will not be extending his contract with the Haas team. Ocon has raced for the American outfit over the past two seasons.
“I leave this project with my head held high and pride in the results I’ve achieved under circumstances that were not always straightforward due to various reasons and factors beyond my control.
Right now, my focus is on the upcoming race weekend. I will continue to work hard with the team, making the most of every opportunity and extracting all the potential from the car. There are still many races left this season, and as always, I will give everything behind the wheel—for myself and for my team.
I remain motivated. I still hunger for victory. This is absolutely not the end of my career in Formula 1,” the Frenchman wrote on his social media channels.
To add context, Ocon has been competing in Formula 1 since 2016. Throughout his career, he has driven for Manor, Force India, Renault, and Alpine, achieving four podium finishes and securing one victory at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix.
