Manchester City has rejected a second bid from Barcelona for midfielder Rodri, according to The Times. Earlier reports indicated that the Catalan club offered around €60 million for the transfer.
Sources reveal that the English club values the player at approximately €80 million. Rodri is considered a key figure in the squad and was recently named the best player at the World Cup. Barcelona has attempted to entice City with various bonuses, but these offers have failed to interest the “Citizens.” Furthermore, City is reluctant to sell Rodri and has yet to reach an agreement with him on a contract extension.
It is likely that Barcelona will try to improve their offer, though not up to €80 million, instead seeking a more compromise-based deal.
