Barcelona’s new signing, Jesse Bissouma, has shared his thoughts following his transfer to the Catalan giants. The 18-year-old Belgian officially signed a contract with the La Liga champions until 2031 today. Barcelona paid Club Brugge €8.5 million for the midfielder.
After putting pen to paper, Bissouma told Mundo Deportivo, “My first days have been wonderful. I’ve been warmly welcomed by a fantastic family here, and I am very grateful for that. Being here and seeing everything with my own eyes is a completely different feeling; I am very happy to be here.”
He admitted, “As a youngster, I always dreamed of playing for a big club like Barcelona, so being here is truly a dream come true for me.”
When asked if he had already spoken with coach Hansi Flick, Bissouma replied, “He welcomed me very well. We had a conversation, and it’s very clear to me what I need to do this year: work hard and learn as much as possible.”
