Brazil’s exit in the Round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup at the hands of Norway has sparked intense debate, yet fans are reluctant to place all the blame on Carlo Ancelotti. According to a recent survey conducted by the Datafolha sociological service, supporters primarily hold the players themselves accountable.
The poll revealed that 47% of respondents consider the Seleção players to be the main culprits behind the failure. Meanwhile, 22% pointed fingers at the coaching staff led by Ancelotti. Additionally, 18% of those surveyed blamed the management of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
This World Cup outcome will prompt serious reflection, as 36% of Brazilians described the team’s performance as “significantly below expectations.” Nevertheless, the Italian coach retains public confidence, with 51% of the population supporting the extension of his contract through to 2030.
