Hansi Flick Reflects on Marcus Rashford’s Departure from Barcelona
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has addressed the departure of Marcus Rashford, who has returned to Manchester United. The Catalan club chose not to exercise the £26 million option to sign the forward permanently, opting instead to bring in Anthony Gordon.
The German manager expressed his regret over the decision, praising Rashford’s impressive contribution during his time at the club. The Englishman managed to score 14 goals and provide 11 assists across 49 appearances.
“I truly enjoyed working with Marcus. Loan deals always come with a lot of uncertainty. He is a fantastic player and a wonderful person. Both the team and I will deeply miss him on the pitch and in the dressing room. But that’s life, and we have to accept it,” Flick commented.
