Everton secured a 2-1 victory over Hamburg in a friendly match. The English side took the lead through Merlin Rel’s goal, but the German team managed to equalize in the second half. Ultimately, a late own goal from the opposition handed Liverpool’s team the win.
Vitaliy Mykolenko started for Everton on the left side of defense and played most of the match before being substituted for Adam Aznou near the end.
The Ukrainian defender had a mixed performance. Defensively, Mykolenko was solid, making several crucial cover tackles and confidently fulfilling his defensive duties. However, in terms of contributing to the team’s attacking play, he was completely unnoticeable.
