Carlos Queiroz: Colombia Deserved Win Over Ghana at World Cup
Ghana’s head coach Carlos Queiroz expressed his feelings following his team’s exit from the 2026 World Cup. The African side narrowly lost to Colombia in the round of 16.
“In general, I believe the Colombian team had much better control of the game — their passing and movement affected our physical condition and our ability to win the ball and push forward. However, there were moments when the Ghanaian team, with full commitment and determination, applied pressure, tried to advance, and created chances.
Yet, for some reason, the final pass or cross lacked the quality needed in this match. So overall, I think the better team won,” the coach said, as reported by FIFA.
