Isaac Price, who scored for the Northern Ireland national team, shared his thoughts with BBC Sport following their 3-0 victory over Ukraine. Price opened the scoring for Northern Ireland in the 22nd minute, making the score 2-0.
“As I mentioned a few days ago, chances were coming, I found myself in the right positions, and fortunately, I was able to convert one of them.
The assist from Kieran Morrison? I think he played really well, offering a different kind of threat than what we’ve faced before. His delivery was excellent, and his presence gave the coach a tough decision ahead of Monday’s match.
The coach was very pleased after the game — it’s not easy to come here and win 3-0, not many teams can do that. They had some chances, but we handled them well, and the team put in a strong performance.
There’s a great sense of unity in the squad, we all enjoy it, and we love playing away. Matches are coming thick and fast, and we’re gaining momentum,” Price said.
