Viktor Dýkeres Sets Nations League Record with Six Consecutive Goals
Sweden forward Viktor Djokeresh has extended his remarkable scoring streak in the UEFA Nations League, netting a goal for the sixth consecutive match for his national team. This feat makes him the first player in the history of the competition to achieve such a consistent run of goals.
Djokeresh, who plays for Arsenal, scored his record-breaking goal in yesterday’s 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal came following an assist from Alexander Bernhardsson.
The forward’s scoring streak began during the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League season. Competing in League C group stages, Djokeresh found the net against Estonia (3-0), Slovakia (2-1), and scored four goals in a single match against Azerbaijan (6-0). In the current edition of the tournament, he has continued his scoring form by scoring in all three of Sweden’s matches so far: against Romania (2-1), Poland (3-1), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1-1).
