Journalist Igor Burbas has revealed that Shakhtar Donetsk has selected its home stadium for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League matches. In previous years, the club played its home games in Poland and Germany.

Earlier reports indicated that this year Shakhtar planned to hold its matches in London, deciding between the stadiums of Chelsea and Fulham.

“Even if Mudryk leaves Stamford Bridge, this stadium will not be without Ukrainians. From what I understand, this is where Shakhtar will host their Champions League fixtures.

We are waiting for an official announcement. Stamford Bridge is exactly the venue where Shakhtar will play its home Champions League matches,” Burbas stated.

It is worth noting that the draw for the new Champions League season is scheduled for August 27.
