The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) has issued a strong statement directed at Gianni Infantino amid the controversy surrounding the failed project to sell World Cup broadcasting rights.

Although FIFA has abandoned the idea, CONCACAF insists on a thorough investigation into the conduct of the organization’s president.

“This situation clearly reflects a governance system that no longer prioritizes football. We are convinced that a comprehensive audit of this presidency is absolutely necessary,” CONCACAF stated.

Earlier, UEFA had already called for Infantino’s resignation. CONCACAF emphasized its commitment to demanding transparency, openness, and strict adherence to FIFA’s statutes when making critical decisions.

Concacaf and its 41 Member Associations welcome the withdrawal of the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE).https://t.co/H2KdBi1jJG
