Domchak Aims to Make History After Ukraine Reaches Euro U19 Semifinals
Ukraine U-19 goalkeeper Nazar Domchak reflected on the team’s victory over Serbia in their second group stage match of the Euro 2026 qualifiers. This crucial win secured Ukraine’s place in the tournament semifinals.
“Is this the best moment of my football career? Probably not. My debut for Karpaty remains my most memorable and emotional moment. This one is likely the second most emotional for me,” Domchak said.
With one group match remaining, the team has already achieved their goal of advancing to the semifinals. “We have big ambitions ahead because Ukraine won the U-19 European Championship back in 2009, and we all want to make our mark in history. We’ll do everything possible to bring joy to our supporters and the country,” he added.
When asked if this match was tougher than the game against Croatia, Domchak agreed it was. “It was harder because there was little time between the matches. To be honest, we gave a lot of emotion in the game against Croatia, so it was a bit more difficult to get into the rhythm today. We made some careless mistakes, but the important thing is that we won. Now we’re preparing for Italy,” he concluded.
