Everton secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Newcastle in a friendly match held at Murrayfield Stadium. The winning side’s goals came from Tierno Barry, Iliman Ndiaye, and Tyrique George. Newcastle managed only a consolation goal late in the second half, scored by Harvey Barnes.

Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko started for Everton and played 77 minutes before being substituted.

The Toffees displayed disciplined and organized off-the-ball play throughout the match. Newcastle made ten substitutions at halftime, which disrupted their rhythm. Everton appeared much more composed and deserved their win ahead of the Premier League season kickoff.
