In their fifth summer preseason friendly, Everton suffered a defeat away to Stuttgart. Despite creating numerous chances, the Toffees managed to score only once, with Tierno Barry converting a penalty. Their opponents responded with three goals, netted by Nikolos Nartey, Ramon Hendrix, and Badredine Bouanani.

Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko started for Everton and played 76 minutes before being substituted.

Looking ahead, Everton will face Newcastle United on Wednesday at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
