On August 5, the women’s team from Kharkiv competed in the semifinal of the mini-tournament for the second qualifying round of the Women’s Champions League.
The match took place at the Den Dreef Stadium in Leuven, Belgium, where the Ukrainian champions faced off against Turkish side Fenerbahçe.
Kharkiv took the lead in the 15th minute thanks to a goal from Girin. However, before halftime, Türkoglu equalized for Fenerbahçe. The decisive moment came in the 66th minute when Maria Alves scored the winning goal, securing a 2-1 victory for Fenerbahçe.
