Former Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto is set to continue his career in the United States. The 34-year-old Spanish midfielder has signed with Los Angeles Galaxy as a free agent following his departure from Italian club Como.
The contract runs until June 2028 and includes an option for an additional season. A versatile player capable of operating on the right side of defense, Sergi Roberto spent 14 years at Barcelona, appearing in 373 matches. His last two years in Italy were marred by frequent injuries, limiting him to just 37 appearances.
In California, the scorer of the decisive goal in Barcelona’s famous remontada will reunite with La Masia graduate Riqui Puig, as well as Marco Reus.
