Hungary national team head coach Marco Rossi shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Ukraine, scheduled for Friday, September 25, in Budapest.
“Under the guidance of Maldera, the Ukrainians have already played a couple of matches. Naturally, we reviewed those games. They played with great determination, showing an aggressive approach and often applying intense pressure on their opponents, frequently engaging in one-on-one duels.
They possess quality in transitional phases and ball possession. Additionally, their attacking final third play stands out, with strong players up front capable of deciding the outcome at any moment. Just look at the caliber of their squad, where their players compete, and the overall value of the team, and you’ll understand that this is a side very difficult to contend with.
I can hardly imagine how their players manage to set aside all other concerns psychologically to focus on their profession, especially when they have loved ones living in Ukraine who face daily dangers. This deserves respect and appreciation, as they continue to play and strive for results,” Rossi said during the pre-match press conference.
