UEFA awards fixed participation bonuses to all national teams competing in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League season. The amount varies depending on the division, with League A teams eligible for additional earnings by winning their group and advancing to the Final Four.
The highest payouts go to League A participants, each receiving €2.25 million. This division includes 16 teams such as Italy, France, Germany, Spain, England, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
Teams in League B will earn €1.5 million each. Among them is the Ukraine national team, which will play its opening match on Friday in Budapest against Hungary.
In League C, the participation bonus stands at €1.1 million per team. Meanwhile, each of the six teams in League D will receive €750,000.
Group winners receive an additional payment, also scaled by division. In League A, this bonus is €2.25 million; in League B, €1.5 million; in League C, €1.1 million; and in League D, €750,000.
Therefore, a League A national team that tops its group is guaranteed a total of €4.5 million—€2.25 million for participation plus another €2.25 million for finishing first in the group.
Extra prize money is reserved for the four teams reaching the Final Four. The Nations League champion will earn €6 million, the runner-up €4.5 million, the third-place team €3.5 million, and the fourth-place side €2.5 million.
Consequently, the maximum total prize for the UEFA Nations League winner could reach €10.5 million.
