Portuguese coach José Mourinho has officially signed a contract to become the new head coach of Real Madrid. Both Mourinho and club president Florentino Pérez put their signatures on an agreement that extends until 2029.

Interestingly, Mourinho had already been working with Real Madrid for two months before he was formally registered as an employee of the club.

The reasons behind this delay in finalizing the paperwork remain unclear. On Sunday, Real Madrid will kick off Mourinho’s second tenure with a match against Espanyol.
