Real Madrid concluded their preseason preparations with a convincing 3-0 victory over Schalke at the Veltins-Arena. Goals from Kylian Mbappé, Dean Heisen, and Carlos Espi secured the win for the Madrid side.
Following the match, Real Madrid manager José Mourinho expressed satisfaction with the team’s development and the integration of new signings.
“At this stage, it’s difficult to single out individual players because we are growing as a team. We have only good players here, very good players, and very-very-very good players. Through the combined efforts of these players, we aim to build a very-very strong team. That is our goal, and I believe we are taking the right steps to achieve it.
I am also very pleased with those who arrived most recently. It’s not easy to immediately engage in such high-intensity training as we do. They face the challenge of double sessions in the morning and afternoon—training with the main group in the morning and then with a smaller group that has just joined in the afternoon. All this under incredible heat. At 14:00 UTC, the session was truly demanding, and they approached it with great enthusiasm,” Mourinho told Realmadrid TV.
It is worth noting that Mourinho’s squad wrapped up four friendly matches with three wins and one draw.
