Juventus concluded their preseason tour of Southeast Asia and Australia with a 2-0 victory over Palermo. The goals came from Kenan Yıldız and the rarely featured Arkadiusz Milik.
Luciano Spalletti fielded a strong lineup for this match, including his two latest signings—Kerim Alibegović and Randal Kolo Muani. Up front, they were joined by Yıldız and Francisco Conceição, while Weston McKennie and Douglas Luiz operated in midfield.
Çelik, who showed promise in the first half, played a key role in Juventus’ opening goal. His strike from the right side of the penalty area forced Palermo goalkeeper Jesse Joronen into a save. The Turkish player quickly reacted to the rebound and passed the ball to Kenan Yıldız, who finished the move with a precise shot.
At halftime, Spalletti made two substitutions, bringing on Manuel Locatelli and Edon Zhegrova. Then, just over an hour into the game, Fabio Miretti, Andrea Cambiaso, Milik, and Jérémy Boga replaced McKennie, Alibegović, Yıldız, and Kolo Muani.
Milik, who had not scored for Juventus in official matches since 2024, finally netted his long-awaited goal. The Polish forward intercepted the ball in midfield, drove into the penalty area, and beat the goalkeeper to make it 2-0 near the 90th minute.
This was Juventus’ penultimate friendly before the season opener. On August 17, a week before the Serie A campaign begins, the Turin side will face the Next Gen team in a friendly at the Allianz Stadium.
