Karabakh defender Bence Varkonyi reflected on his team’s 2-0 victory over Dynamo in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League in an interview with Azerisport.com. The Azerbaijani side advanced after a narrow defeat in the first leg.
“Our game plan was to control the match and secure the win. Although not everything went perfectly and some chances were missed, we managed to come out on top.
The match lasts 90 minutes, and mistakes happen. After all, Dynamo is a strong opponent. We aimed to play confidently, and our goalkeeper made some excellent saves. Yes, there were errors, but the most important thing is that we progressed, and we will work on those mistakes.
Regarding the upcoming match against Twente, let’s first enjoy this victory. We still have the opening round of the Premier League ahead. We’ll prepare for that game, and only then will we analyze our Conference League opponent,” the player stated.
