La Liga Chief Javier Tebas Criticizes Real Madrid Over FIFA Commercial Project Statement
La Liga president Javier Tebas delivered a sharp rebuttal to Real Madrid’s recent statement following the cancellation of FIFA’s commercial project, accusing the club of double standards and highlighting their connections to Super League investors.
Tebas challenged the logic behind Real Madrid’s claims, questioning their sincerity:
“The first part of Real’s statement is flawless: FIFA cannot manage revenues without the clubs. But why did they delay their response for so long? And is it mere coincidence that JP Morgan is involved here, just as it was in the Super League saga?”
The La Liga chief also mocked the club’s attempts to lecture others:
“When Real makes decisions independently, it’s called modernization. When other clubs freely make choices, it’s deemed oppression. The so-called supreme entity has lost all credibility. Remember how the Super League was supposed to save us because football was bankrupt? What foresight!”
