Poland ended a five-match winless streak in emphatic fashion, dismantling Romania with a 6-0 victory. The turning point came early when Romanian defender Radu Drăgușin was sent off in the 22nd minute for a last-man foul.
Taking immediate advantage of their numerical superiority, the 38-year-old Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty to open the scoring. He then doubled his tally just after halftime. Poland dominated throughout, overwhelming the Romanian defense, with their captain completing a hat-trick late in the match. Additional goals came from teammates, including an own goal by Gică, while Sebastian Szymański provided an assist.
