Jorge Messi, the father and agent of Argentine footballer Lionel Messi, has passed away at the age of 68 in a hospital in Rosario, according to Infobae.
The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Recently, Jorge Messi had been under medical supervision.
Throughout Lionel Messi’s professional career, Jorge served as his agent and was by his side from the very beginning of his journey in professional football.
During the 2026 World Cup, after Argentina’s match against Algeria, Messi opened up about a difficult period in his life. Argentina secured a 3-0 victory, with Messi scoring all three goals. The star player later revealed that he cried after one of the goals due to reasons unrelated to football. He also mentioned having gone through “several tough days.”
A few days later, the Messi family announced that Jorge Messi was under medical care, recovering, and showing positive progress given his health condition.
However, today Jorge Messi’s life came to an end.
