Real Madrid has once again turned its attention to a Bayern Munich player. According to the German publication Bild, the Spanish giants are interested in 18-year-old midfielder Lennart Carl, who emerged as one of the standout young talents in European football last season.
Previously, Real Madrid had been linked with another Bayern player, Michael Olise. However, no negotiations took place regarding the French winger, as Bayern Munich refused to discuss his transfer and declared the player untouchable. Meanwhile, Real officially denied any interest in Olise.
Carl earned regular playing time following a serious injury to Jamal Musiala sustained at the FIFA Club World Cup. The young attacking midfielder seized his opportunity, featuring in 40 matches under coach Vincent Kompany, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists.
Bild reports that Carl’s performances have attracted attention from several European clubs, including Real Madrid. The Spanish club admires his dribbling skills, vision on the pitch, and ability to sharpen the team’s attacking play.
At the same time, Real Madrid is aware of the difficulties in negotiating with Bayern Munich over their key players. Carl’s contract with the Bavarian club runs until 2029, and Bayern’s current priority is to secure an extension with the promising youngster.
