After a decade, Lucas Digne has returned to Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisian club officially announced the signing of the left-back on Sunday via their X social media account. Digne has committed to a contract running until 2029 and will wear the number 12 jersey.
The 33-year-old still had two years remaining on his contract with Aston Villa, but PSG activated a buyout clause worth 10 million euros. At the 2026 World Cup, the semifinalist delivered an impressive performance, marred only by a penalty miss in the semifinal against Spain, which ended in a 0-2 defeat.
Digne began his professional career at Lille before being signed in 2013 to support Maxwell. Unable to surpass the Brazilian in the pecking order, he went on loan to Roma in 2015 and then made a permanent move to Barcelona in 2016.
