PSG head coach Luis Enrique has declared his team’s ambition to secure a third consecutive UEFA Champions League title ahead of their upcoming UEFA Super Cup clash against Aston Villa, scheduled for tomorrow.
“We face a unique challenge — matching Real Madrid’s feat if we manage to win the Champions League three times in a row. In European football history, few have achieved this; only Real Madrid has lifted the trophy three consecutive times. I am confident that no team in Europe currently possesses greater motivation than we do,” Enrique told RMC Sport.
To recall, Real Madrid won the Champions League in 2016, 2017, and 2018 under the management of Zinedine Zidane. PSG claimed the Champions League titles in 2025 and 2026. In the earlier format, the European Cup, Ajax and Bayern Munich each won three consecutive trophies in the 1970s, while Real Madrid achieved an unprecedented five consecutive titles during the competition’s infancy in the 1950s.
