Manchester City faces the risk of severe sanctions after being found guilty of breaching 114 out of 115 charges related to the English Premier League’s financial regulations.
Following the announcement of this verdict, the club’s chairman, Haldun Al Mubarak, reassured fans and the public that Manchester City intends to prove its innocence.
Backing the chairman, former Manchester City player Rodri, who played for the club from 2019 until his transfer to Barcelona this summer, expressed his support.
“They always express confidence that they have done nothing wrong, and we believe them. Until proven otherwise, we will trust the club. They consistently tell us about their certainty of innocence,” Rodri told the BBC.
