According to Bloomberg, officials from the United Arab Emirates have warned the British government that a harsh ruling in the Manchester City case could undermine their willingness to undertake significant commitments with the UK in the future. They believe that the actions of the Premier League are impacting bilateral state relations.

Representatives of the British government have also expressed disappointment with their counterparts in the UAE. They feel that some individuals in the Gulf country should have been aware of the extent of Manchester City’s violations, although the UAE officials have maintained that no wrongdoing occurred.

The stakes in the financial misconduct case involving Manchester City continue to rise.
