The famous 40-year-old German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer officially confirmed that he will end his international career immediately after the current World Cup. At a special press conference, the goalkeeper openly announced his decision and shared ambitious plans for the main tournament of the four-year cycle.
“This will be my last tournament for Germany. I do not plan to play in the European Championship in two years. But right now, I want to look forward to every match and not think about saying goodbye. I absolutely believe that our team is capable of winning; otherwise, I wouldn’t be here. Winning a second World Cup in my career would be very important to me. If I didn’t see such a chance, I wouldn’t be sitting here today,” Neuer said at the press conference.
