Arsenal‘s attempts to sell Gabriel Martinelli during this transfer window appear to have failed. After the deal with Galatasaray fell through, the option of a move to Napoli also collapsed.
The Neapolitan club was unable to meet the winger’s financial demands. However, they continue negotiations for another Arsenal forward, Gabriel Jesus.
Martinelli has informed the club that he intends to stay and see out his contract with Arsenal. At this stage of his career, money is not the deciding factor for him.
It seems that Martinelli is manager Mikel Arteta‘s first choice for the left-wing position.
