Matís Deturbe Joins Monaco on Loan from Manchester City
Manchester City has loaned Matisse Deterbe to Monaco. The 19-year-old winger enjoyed an impressive season with his hometown club Troyes, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists across 38 appearances. Following that campaign, he transferred to Manchester City, the flagship club of the City Football Group, who immediately sent him on loan to Monaco. Now, Deterbe is set to make his Ligue 1 debut facing Troyes, the team recently promoted to the top division.
Monaco officially announced the arrival of left winger Matisse Deterbe on a season-long loan from Manchester City. The deal includes an option to extend the loan for an additional season and a subsequent purchase option. At Monaco, Deterbe will reunite with several players he previously encountered in France’s youth national teams, where he accumulated 18 caps and 5 goals across age groups from under-17 to under-20. Among his former teammates are Aladji Bamba, Jules Stavetski, Pap Cabral, and Ilan Toure, the club’s statement highlighted.
