Michy Batshuayi Joins Saudi Club Abha After Leaving Eintracht Frankfurt

Michy Batshuayi has officially left German club Eintracht Frankfurt. The Belgian striker has signed with Saudi Arabian side Abha as a free agent. During his one and a half seasons in Germany, Batshuayi featured in just 21 matches across all competitions, scoring four goals.

Originally transferred from Galatasaray in early 2025, Batshuayi was brought in to bolster Eintracht Frankfurt’s attack following Omar Marmoush‘s departure to Manchester City. However, the forward failed to meet expectations. Injuries severely limited his playing time last season, restricting him to only one Bundesliga start.

Eintracht Frankfurt finished eighth in the league and decided to reduce their squad size. For the 32-year-old, who previously represented Chelsea, the move to the Saudi club marks a new chapter in his career.

Alles Gute für deine Zukunft, Michy! 🫶🦅
