Mikel Arteta was deeply dissatisfied with the defeat against Betis in the friendly match and held a serious team talk in the dressing room. The coach pointed out that the team performed below their usual standards in their own penalty area, emphasizing that the loss should serve as a strong motivation ahead of the new season.

“They were very upset. I put them through a tough time. They are furious, but that’s a good thing. This is exactly what we need right now. Winning is important, and we failed to do that, so I am disappointed. Sometimes a bad result is useful because it ignites even more fire within,” Arteta said after the game.
