Chelsea winger Mikhail Mudrik is set to miss the entire 2026/27 season, according to reports from the English press. The 25-year-old has not featured in any official matches since November 2024 after being suspended for a positive doping test.
Mudrik returned from his ban on July 31 and has appeared as a substitute three times in Chelsea’s preseason friendlies against Juventus, Milan, and Johor Darul Ta’zim during the club’s Asian tour.
BBC Sport reports that Mudrik has already reached an agreement with Chelsea to go out on loan before the transfer window closes on September 1. The Ukrainian was offered a move to Strasbourg, which is owned by the same group as Chelsea, but he would prefer a loan to another English Premier League club.
Other potential destinations include several top Italian teams, who are also interested in securing his services.
Mudrik remains under contract with Chelsea until 2031. He transferred to the London club from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 for a fee of 70 million euros.
