Jürgen Klopp, the head coach of the Germany national team, has informed Stuttgart that their new central striker Zenan Pejčinović has been included in his list of candidates for the Euro 2028 qualifying campaign, according to Sport BILD. Pejčinović joined Stuttgart yesterday from Wolfsburg for a transfer fee of 25 million euros.
It is worth noting that Pejčinović has been regularly called up to Germany’s youth national teams but has yet to make his debut for the senior Bundesliga squad.
Last season, the 21-year-old forward was one of the standout performers for Wolfsburg, scoring 8 goals in 32 appearances. However, the “Wolves” were ultimately relegated from the Bundesliga to the second division.
Additionally, Stuttgart will kick off their new season with a match against Bayern on August 28.
